Dr. Woods' Book "How to prevent Diabetes, I Beat it and you can ,Too is easy to read and understand. I have shared it with my sisters who are diabetic and they are managing their diabetes better by following many of her recommendations. I am a graduate of the "Be Well" Class referenced in the book. The class has helped me tremendously. My hemoglobin A1C has improved, I have lost 40 + pounds, my cholrestorol reading is norma and my blood pressure reading has improved to name a few of the benefits. I highly recommend this book to every one especially people with pre diabetes and diabetes. Also to people who are healthy and wish to remani healthy.

It is a small book with a lot to say. It's easier to read than most books or articles I've read on nutrition and diets which are so technical, I toss them away without interest. Dr. Woods writes about her own account with an honesty that makes her story human and accessible and thus more inspiring. She doesn't preach nor does she patronize, she leads by example. She breaks down the science into practical common sense and I don't feel like I'm stuck in a biology class that I can't wait to get out of. I'm interested, engaged and want to know more. They say knowledge is power, and I highly recommend this book to people so that they stay informed and empower themselves to lead healthier lives. Dr Woods Book " How to Prevent Diabetes- I beat It and You Can, Too! is clearly written and easy to read because it recounts her personal struggle to conquer this dreaded disease ( Diabetes ). The book outlines the steps needed to succeed in controlling weight and to prevent getting into the Pre Diabetic stage ,or if you are already Pre Diabetic it gives you the steps to regain health. Candidly Dr Woods recounts her struggles to be Diabetes free and the practical steps that she learned through the process are being shared with all of us in this well written book.
